1. Follow Up

When you make your first sale, follow-up with the customer. You could follow-up with a “thank you” email and include an advertisement for other products you sell. You could follow-up every few months or offer a subscription to your regular newsletter.

2. Upsell.

You could upsell to your customers. When they’re at your order page, tell them about a few extra related products you have for sale. If they have ordered an item you can suggest an upgraded version or model, or an essential that goes with it. They can just add it to their original order.

People are drawn to faces, there’s no denying this basic instinct. It’s imprinted in our DNA. If you have ever been a parent, worked with young children and babies, or studied child development you will know this to be true.

So why is knowing this important?
